Medicaid Equity Simulations

Client: BioflightVR / CWRU

"Families Living In Poverty" and "Neighborhood Immersion for Compassion and Empathy" are VR simulations that were made to help case workers learn the difficult decisions that people face on a daily basis. These simulations take users through a series of scenarios using 3d video, and provide them with decisions to make after each scenario plays out (in world-space unity UI). At the end of the simulation, the app will grade the user's performance from their decisions made and provide feedback on how to better empathize with people going through these real-world situations. The development process started with an existing web-based app which needed to be converted into Unity and built to Oculus Quest. Improvements were made to UI and UX to better align with standards for engaging VR experiences.
